Shoba Murali President and Chief Executive Officer, GlyGenix Therapeutics, Inc.

Shoba Murali is a cofounder of The UCAN Company that is devoted to the development and commercialization of a highly desirable unique ingredient that has an extended glucose profile with muted insulin response and increased fat oxidation. She helped launch the company, led the financing effort and shaped the overall manufacturing, formulation, clinical trials and marketing strategy of UCAN. The company now markets glucose sustaining consumer-based nutritional products very relevant in sports nutrition and weight management. Previously, Ms. Murali was the President and Co-founder of Acorn Information Services and led the company from inception to IPO. Acorn was involved in both customer relationship and database management for businesses around the world. Her early career was shaped by product and program management and business development roles in companies like Digital Equipment Corporation and Tata Services. Ms. Murali holds a masters in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Osmania University, India.

David Feldman, DMD. Chief Operating Officer, GlyGenix Therapeutics, Inc.

David Feldman is a co-founder of The UCAN Company and is currently a member of its Board of Directors. The UCAN Company is a nutraceutical company involved in optimizing energy balance with unique consumer nutritional products for use in many fields, including sports nutrition and weight management. He also co-founded GlyGenix Therapeutics and currently serves as its Chief Operating Officer. He continues to be active in growing all aspects of the business since its inception in 2006. Dr. Feldman's involvement with biotechnology stems from the 2001 diagnosis of his oldest son with Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1a. In 2002, Dr. Feldman and his wife, Dr. Wendy Becker, founded The Children's Fund for GSD Research to help find a cure for GSD1. The Children's Fund is the leading foundation in the world for GSD1 research. Dr. Feldman received his BA from Colgate University, a DMD from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine and a Certificate of Orthodontics from SUNY Stony Brook.

Kannankote (Sri) Srikanth Director, ABO Ventures

A Senior Executive Manager leading global sales and operations in Fortune 100 services and product companies, Mr. Srikanth joined our board of directors in 2009. Mr. Srikanth has served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Sasken Communications Technology since September of 2006. He previously served as Corporate VP and General Manager at Motorola, where he was responsible for a global services business with a revenue base in excess of $1 Billion. Sri also held the position of President of Global Professional Services at Nortel Networks, Inc where he managed over 3000 employees. Between 1987 and 1999, he held key management and leadership roles at Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq Computer Corporation including General Manager of worldwide professional services. Mr. Srikanth received a B.S. in Mathematics and an MBA both from SUNY at Buffalo.

Peter Kaufman Executive Vice President, The UCAN Company

Peter Kaufman is a founding member of GlyGenix Therapeutics, Inc and is currently the Executive Vice President of The UCAN Company. Mr Kaufman has been working with The UCAN Company and GlyGenix Therapeutics since they were founded in 2006. UCAN is an early stage company bringing unique nutritional products and ingredients to the sports, wellness and general health markets as it seeks to provide healthier energy and prevent the globally increasing rate of Type 2 diabetes. Currently, Mr Kaufman is on the Board of Directors of WrapMail, which provides a unique email solution to companies and individuals. In 1993 he founded ETC, a security, communications and network consulting company that builds resilient, secure infrastructures for companies, universities and municipalities. Prior to ETC, Mr Kaufman worked for 11 years in technical, sales and sales management areas of IBM, AT+T and DEC (became Compaq, now HP). Mr Kaufman graduated from Brown University with a degree in Applied Mathematics.

Adrienne Block, PhD

Dr. Adrienne Block has been working with GlyGenix Therapeutics since it was founded in 2006. She is also a founding member of The UCAN Company. Prior to the Bayer Healthcare restructuring in 2008, Dr Block was the Director of Scientific Communications in both the Hemotology/Cardiology and the Oncology Groups. With a budget of over $3 Million, Dr. Block supervised communication strategies, publications and developed marketing and sales objectives for Trasylol, Kogenate FS and Nexavar. The previous 15 years, also at Bayer, she held Manager, Associate Director and Deputy Director positions. Dr Block graduated from SUNY Albany with concentrations in Biology and Chemistry. At SUNY Buffalo she obtained a B.S. in Pharmacy, and then completed her PhD in Pharmacology at Northwestern University Medical School.
