The overall corporate philosophy and strategy that GlyGenix Therapeutics, Inc. bases its development programs on is the realization that commercially valuable gene therapy products can be developed and delivered without the use of retroviral or Adenoviral delivery systems. Our DNA based products can be manufactured in accordance with all FDA regulations acceptable for human use. The lead product opportunity will address an unmet clinical need in treating Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1a (GSD1a). Currently, there is no therapy to treat this debilitating disease that affects normal glycogen metabolism resulting in neonatal care that requires around the clock dietary maintenance. Small (and large animal) Pre-clinical studies are underway to support an IND submission for the clinical application of G6Pase targeted delivery for the treatment of GSD1a.

GlyGenix Therapeutics, Inc.'s experienced scientific management and advisory boards will drive product development and will advance these technologies to produce a non-viral, quality controlled, universally adaptable Gene Therapy Delivery System for treating patients with Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1a.
